Choose the right files

1. Decide which Minecraft version you will launch: 26.1.2 or 26.2. Use the same version for the BlackAddons jar and its Fabric dependencies.
2. Install Fabric Loader for that Minecraft version.
3. Put Fabric API and Fabric Language Kotlin for that version in the instance’s mods folder.
4. Download a matching Legit or Cheat BlackAddons jar from BlackAddons releases. Put one edition in mods, not both.
5. If you want its additional SkyBlock features, put the matching Extras addon jar in mods too.
6. Start the Fabric instance. In game, press Right Shift or enter /blackaddons to open the menu.

Legit includes the base features. Cheat includes the base features and the cheat addon. The two editions share a mod ID, so installing both causes a duplicate-mod conflict. Extras is a separate addon; it does not replace the main jar.

If a release page does not have a jar for your Minecraft version, do not install a jar built for a different version. The development page has source build instructions.

Where is mods?

Use the mods directory of the game instance you actually launch. Launchers with separate profiles often have separate game directories. If Fabric cannot find a dependency or BlackAddons does not appear in the Mods list, check that directory and confirm you launched the Fabric profile.

Updates

Replace the old BlackAddons jar with the new jar for the same Minecraft version and edition. Keep only one BlackAddons main jar in mods. Update Extras separately when you use it. Your feature and HUD settings are stored in the instance’s config/blackaddons.json; keeping the instance preserves them.
